These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MedForRent mobile application and the website (together, the "Service") operated by MedForRent based in Cairo, Egypt ("we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
The Service is intended for licensed medical professionals and medical institutions aged 18 or older. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. The Service is not intended for use by consumers for personal, non-medical purposes.
2. Nature of the Service
MedForRent is a rental-request platform that connects doctors and clinics with medical equipment available for monthly rental. We offer:
- A catalog of medical equipment organized by specialty.
- The ability to submit rental requests from the app.
- Coordination of delivery, installation, training, and ongoing technical support.
MedForRent is not a seller of medical devices; we rent devices on a monthly basis.
3. Rental requests
Submitting a rental request through the Service is an inquiry, not a confirmed booking. A rental becomes binding only after our team contacts you to confirm:
- Availability of the specific equipment,
- Final pricing and rental period,
- Delivery schedule.
Until a rental is confirmed by our team in writing (email or SMS), no contract exists.
4. Payment
Payment is handled offline directly between you and our team. The Service does not process any payments. Prices displayed in the app ("From X EGP") are starting prices only; the final price depends on equipment configuration, rental duration, and delivery location, and is confirmed by our team before any rental begins.
5. Delivery, installation and support
Each confirmed rental includes:
- Transportation of the equipment to your location in Egypt,
- Professional on-site installation,
- Basic training for your team,
- Technical support throughout the rental period, including repair or replacement of defective equipment at no extra charge.
6. Your responsibilities
While the equipment is at your premises, you are responsible for:
- Using the equipment only in accordance with its intended medical use, applicable manufacturer instructions, and Egyptian medical standards.
- Ensuring that only qualified, licensed medical staff operate the equipment.
- Keeping the equipment in good working condition and reporting any faults to us immediately.
- Protecting the equipment from loss, theft, damage, and misuse.
- Returning the equipment in the same condition in which it was delivered, allowing for reasonable wear.
Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or unauthorized modifications may incur repair or replacement charges which you agree to pay.
7. Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
- Submit false, misleading, or impersonated rental requests.
- Resell, sub-rent, or transfer rented equipment to any third party without our prior written consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through automated scripts or scraping tools.
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code from the app.
8. Returns and extensions
You may extend a rental by contacting us before the agreed return date, subject to continued availability. You may also return the equipment early; our team will coordinate pick-up at a mutually agreed time. Specific terms for extensions and early returns are confirmed in writing at the start of each rental.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including all content, trademarks ("MedForRent", the "M" mark), logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
10. Medical disclaimer
MedForRent provides equipment and logistics only. We do not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment. All medical decisions made using rented equipment are the sole responsibility of the qualified medical professionals using the equipment. We disclaim all liability for medical outcomes.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law, our total liability to you in connection with the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us for rentals in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or lost business opportunities.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused equipment, or acted in bad faith. On termination, you must immediately return any equipment in your possession.
13. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be announced through the app or on the website. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt.
