MedForRent ("we", "our", "us") operates the MedForRent mobile application and the website at the domain where you are reading this policy (collectively, the "Service"). We are based in Cairo, Egypt. This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.
By using the Service you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who the Service is for
The Service is intended for licensed medical professionals and medical facilities aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a person under 18, contact us at info@medforrent.com and we will delete it promptly.
2. Information we collect
We only collect the minimum data needed to deliver medical-equipment rental services.
- Rental request details: the name, phone number, email address, delivery address, and any additional notes you submit when requesting a rental.
- Order history: the equipment you request and the status of each rental.
- Device information: basic, standard metadata provided by your mobile operating system (device model, OS version, language). This information is used only to make the app function correctly and is never used to identify you.
We do NOT collect:
- Any payment information. The app does not process payments; prices are confirmed by our team directly with you.
- Precise location (we never request GPS access). The delivery address is only the text address you type.
- Advertising identifiers.
- Photos, camera data, microphone data, or contacts.
- Analytics, tracking, or behavioural data. The current version of the app does not integrate any analytics, crash reporting, or marketing SDKs.
3. How we use information
We use the information you provide only to:
- Contact you about your rental request to confirm availability, pricing and delivery.
- Coordinate delivery, installation, training and ongoing technical support.
- Keep an internal record of your rental history for support and warranty purposes.
- Respond to your questions or complaints.
- Comply with applicable Egyptian law.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your information to perform the rental contract you request (contractual necessity) and to comply with applicable law. Where consent is required for a particular use, we rely on your explicit consent and will tell you what that consent covers.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information only when strictly necessary to fulfill your rental request:
- Our delivery and installation team: receives the name, address, and phone number necessary to deliver and install the equipment.
- Technical hosting providers: encrypted data is stored on reputable cloud infrastructure under written data-processing agreements.
- Government authorities: only when we are legally required to do so (court order, tax or regulatory requirement).
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain your rental information for as long as needed to provide support for the rental and to comply with Egyptian legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing info@medforrent.com. We will respond within 30 days and delete the data unless we are legally required to retain it.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
- Lodge a complaint with Egypt's data protection authority.

8. Security
All data transferred between the app and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS). Access to personal information in our backend is restricted to a small number of authorized staff and is protected by authentication, role-based access controls, and audit logging. However, no system is 100% secure; please notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Any information we discover to belong to a child will be deleted promptly.
10. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites (for example, our social media pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties — please review their policies separately.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through the app or on the website before they take effect.
